Christmas Acts of Kindness – 14th December
It doesn’t take much to give back this Christmas, just a little time and a little imagination! We’d love to invite you to join us for an afternoon of Acts of Kindness in Luxembourg City Centre.
We want to give away free fruit, cookies, coffee and Christmas decorations, and give Christmas cards to police, bus drivers, cleaners… and we’d love you to help us preparing!
We’ll be meeting on Saturday 14th December at 2pm in the city centre. If you’d like to join us, you can sign up here to let us know you will be there and what you can bring…
- Free Fruit – bring with you a box of clementines or a bunch of bananas to give away free to passers by…
- Free Cookies – are you a good baker? Bake some of your best Christmas cookies (without nuts) and package them two or three to a small bag (like this or this maybe). We’ll give them away to passers by as a surprise treat!
- Free Christmas Decorations – are you crafty? Make some salt dough or felt Christmas decorations to give away to random people – every time they spot the decoration on their tree they will remember that someone was kind to them and hopefully be inspired!
- Home-made Christmas cards – that we will give away to bus driver, police, cleaners and other service personnel to thank them for their service to the city over the last year.
All of these could be fantastic activities to get your children involved in. As you prepare, talk to them about why we do acts of kindness, and why Christmas should be more about GIVING than getting! They are very welcome to join us on 14th (with a parent/guardian at all times).
We’ll also be handing out free cups of coffee to warm up shoppers and workers. And we’d love to encourage people to pass on the kindness – take two pieces of fruit and give one away, take two bags of cookies but give one away…!
