Conjuring a night of terrible treats!…

Friday 31st October – and our most spookiest of volunteers headed to the Beggen cultural centre to host a Horrible Halloween party for Foyer asylum seekers and their families!
Activities included pumpkin carving (the selection of knives was scary enough!), apple bobbing (not as easy as it looks), and ‘phantastic’ photos thanks to our volunteers, one of whom brought along a printer, allowing the residents to have an instant memory of the night.
Our partner, the Red Cross, were so pleased with the event because residents had not seen anything like it, and we helped them embrace a ‘hocus-pocus’ filled Halloween.
Thanks to all the volunteers who came, and those who wanted to join but couldn’t. We promise we will be doing more events like these so that everyone can get involved.
Take a look at Serve the City Leadership Team members getting into the spirit of the night below! Can you tell who is who?
