Serve the City is partnering with the Luxembourg Red Cross in a great new project. If you have a yarn stash that you will never use, or would consider buying some, we know some people who would appreciate it!
The weekly knitting group, at the Don Bosco reception centre for Luxembourg asylum seekers is constantly in need of yarn and knitting needles. By enabling the teaching of this valuable and fun skill to continue, and providing start-up materials, not only are the residents making scarves, hats and ponchos but you are investing in their lives.
Could you display the poster below in your work place or clubhouse? Once you’ve gathered donations, email us and we can arrange to hand over the yarn to the Luxembourg Red Cross. (Items are knitted for men, women and children, so any colours will be appropriate.)
