“Taking part in the children’s activity days at Foyer Sud has surely been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I love spending time with children and my time there turns out to be highly fulfilling.

The children have the incredible gift to pass on their energy, happiness and affection. It’s amazing how friendly and sociable they are towards the volunteers.

Besides the productive time spent with the children, I feel good knowing that during our volunteering, their mothers can have some time to themselves to go out of their everyday routine and be refreshed; something beneficial for them and their kids.

I have been glad to volunteer with Serve the City because I get to do something pleasant that nourishes my spirit and has become part of my life here in Luxembourg.

This opportunity has also helped me settle in the country better, meet new people and make good friends. I would encourage everyone to get involved with volunteering and Serve the City offer several wonderful opportunities that can match anyone’s interests in making a change in our community.”
