Merry Christmas!

Christmas is the time of year when we can take time to refocus on what really matters. Let’s enjoy the simple joy of being with the family and celebrating together. But let’s not forget those who will not be so fortunate and will spend Christmas away from their loved ones. Surely Christmas will not have the same taste everywhere and perhaps we could draw inspiration from beautiful traditions, like in Lithuania or in Poland, where people used to leave a spare seat for the poor. We too should not hesitate to add a plate for Christmas Eve, even symbolically, for those in need. So many people in our cities are still too often isolated at Christmas time!

We would like also to thank here our volunteers who will be at the side of the most vulnerable during the festive season, especially on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Let’s stand with those in need during the holiday season!
