New Partnership with Special Olympics Luxembourg
Special Olympics is a federation of sports associations for people with intellectual disabilities. It gives athletes a chance to train at a high level, according to their abilities, in various disciplines (about 10 or so) such as swimming, basketball, running, etc. Athletes participate in several international competitions, and since they have to train on a weekly basis, they are currently looking for volunteers who are good at one of these sports.
They are particularly looking for trainers in the following disciplines: female artistic gymnastics (Luxembourgish speaking required), football, and long-distance running. If you would like to get involved on a regular basis, please contact Marc Feltgen (m.feltgen@specialolympics.lu)
Special Olympics also organizes various competitions. The next one will take place in Bettembourg on Saturday October 24th from 8h30 to 16h00. We’re looking for 6 volunteers (no language requirements) who could accompany athletes during the day.
This is a great opportunity to spend a fun day volunteering and attending a unique competition!
