Turning T-Shirts into Care: A Meaningful Collaboration with Amazon

In CSR, Environment, Partners, Press & Media, Volunteer Events

This month, Serve the City and volunteers from Amazon teamed up for a hands-on activity that mixed both creativity and compassion. The volunteers upcycled old t-shirts into reusable tote bags, which were filled with hygiene products which will be given to the homeless population in Luxembourg.

This event brought together Amazon volunteers across many different departments working side by side to transform t-shirts into practical tote bags. Then they were packed with items such as soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes. These types of products aren’t thought of instantly for people in need but can really make a difference to someone living in the streets.

Amazon volunteers brought positive energy and a commitment to serving the community, taking this simple idea and making it into a sustainable and impactful initiative.

It was more than an arts and crafts activity, it was also an opportunity to connect and give back to those who can be overlooked.

This workshop is another reminder that when we come together whether its corporate teams, local volunteers or just individuals we can create meaningful change.
