Beyond Borders, One Purpose: The Luxembourg City Exchange

In the heart of Europe, where cultures and languages naturally intertwine. Serve the City Luxembourg, in close collaboration with Serve the City International, opened its doors to teams from Paris, Brussels, Dublin, Mitrovica, Lisbon, and London.

The goal? A City Exchange designed to turn collective wisdom into local action.

More Than a Meeting: A Movement in Motion

The atmosphere across the two days was a vibrant blend of strategic focus and heartfelt connection. We moved seamlessly from the “boardroom to the streets,” proving that while our contexts vary, our mission remains universal.

For Serve the City Luxembourg, hosting this event was about more than just logistics, it was about creating a space where “serving” is the common language. As the Portuguese delegation beautifully noted, it was a time to “share experiences, learn from one another, and reinforce the bonds between cities.”

Fieldwork and “Vibes”

What truly set this exchange apart was the balance between high-level discussion and tangible service. Participants didn’t just talk about volunteering; they joined us on the ground.

• The Energy: We explored the vibrant streets of Luxembourg, finding inspiration in both the city’s history and its future potential.
• The Action: Visiting teams participated in two of our local volunteer programs, experiencing firsthand how we serve the Luxembourgish community.
