Christmas Kindness 2012
Serve the City is starting small but with enthusiasm, this coming Saturday 15th December, from 13:00-17:00. There will be three small projects running, each aiming to show kindness and bring some Christmas cheer to people in Luxembourg city centre.
If you can come, please sign up so that we know how many volunteers to expect!

Project 1: Free balloons!
What child’s eyes don’t brighten at the sight of a balloon? We’ll be giving away free balloons to children in the city centre on Saturday afternoon, giving them a simple thing to put a smile on their faces.
Project 2: Thank you cards to service providers.
There are a lot of people who work hard to keep Luxembourg safe, clean and convenient for us. We want to thank them this Christmas and make them feel appreciated, by giving them home-made Thank you cards.
If you have already taken home blank cards to decorate, please remember to bring them on Saturday, or get them so someone who will be there.
Project 3: Gifts for the homeless.
It’s a cold time of year to be without a place to live. The causes and solutions to homelessness are often complex, but here’s a simple way we can reach out this Saturday – by taking a small Christmas gift to people living on the streets and having a conversation with them.

We will all meet together before and after the projects to plan and then debrief. We’ll let you know the venue and all other details when you sign up. If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry – there will be more opportunities to get involved in the new year.
