Christmas Volunteering at Foyer Don Bosco…

Serve the City are bringing Christmas to the residents of Foyer Don Bosco on 17th December.

Will you join us and create a party to remember?….

The Red Cross runs the Don Bosco Foyer in Limpertsberg, a residential centre for Asylum Seekers. At this time of year, when most families are getting together, it can be difficult for those with their families far away, who are facing an uncertain future.

We can’t wait to be part of these festivities and put a little joy into the season for all the families involved!

We need:

Approx 8 volunteers to help with the following:

– Photography. A couple of people to take images of St Nicholas giving presents to the children (to be given to the families), and general party atmospheric photos.

– Cocktail bar! A couple of people need to mix up some ‘mocktails’ and serve the drinks (ingredients provided).

– Serving Dinner.  A couple of people need to serve up a cold buffet including specialties prepared by residents from a visiting foyer.

– Face Painting! A couple of people to do face painting for the children, preferably with experience, but there will be an expert on hand if not!

Time: Arrive at 14.00pm to decorate the Foyer and set up the various activities until 19.00pm
