Serving it up with another Big Partner!
On September 30th Serve the City Luxembourg hosted another Corporate Social Responsibility event with Intertrust S.à r.l. Luxembourg.
It was a rainy day but the six volunteers from Intertrust were very motivated to go out and serve the homeless and people in need with hot coffee, tea, sandwiches and fruits.
For them it was the first volunteering experience, but our project leader Manuel said they acted if it was something they did on a regular basis.
After preparing the food and drinks in Bonnevoie, they got out to meet their neighbors from the streets. The bad weather meant it was a bit harder to find them but in the end they managed to serve almost 30 people. Food and drinks were distributed and conversations started. Sometimes very brief, sometimes quite long. This often depends on the languages both beneficiaries and volunteers can speak.
