Volunteer at Tricentenaire’s “Day of Health and Security”
Tricentenaire, an organisation that helps improve the lives of disabled people in Luxembourg, together with Servior and Steftung Hellef Doheem are organising a “journee de securite et sante” – a health and safety day. It’s a fun festival-style day about how to eat healthy, move more, and be more secure when driving. The police and the fire brigade will perform various presentations and there will also be lots of children’s activities (face painting, bouncy castle, cycling, board games etc.)
So if you are interested in trying out sausages mixed with spinach together with a drink of Bionade, then we highly recommend you come along!
In order to support this great event, we are looking for volunteers for the various children’s activities and to help clean up the tables and make sure the rubbish is properly recycled.
When? 28th of June 2014
Where? Colmar-Berg, at the centre de formation pour conducteur (training center for drivers)
For the children’s activities, we need:
– 8 people from 10 am to 1.30 pm
– 8 people from 1.30 pm to 5 pm
For the clean up, we are looking for:
– 2 people from 11 am to 2 pm
– 2 people from 1 pm to 4 pm
The whole event takes place from 10 am to 6 pm, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the various animations and presentations before or after your volunteer shift. In order to thank volunteers for their work, Tricentenaire will also give a 10 Euro voucher to every volunteer that can be spent on drinks and food at the event.
You will be working with a staff member on each stand, so if your local language skills are a little rusty, it’s not a problem. This is a great way to support an organisation doing important work for the disabled community in Luxembourg!
