World Autism Awareness Day
The World Autism Awareness Day will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at Place d’Armes in Luxembourg. The Fondation Autisme Luxembourg would like to raise public awareness of this disability which affects 1 in 150 people!
On this occasion they have prepared a great programme with: Performances and concerts, workshops, games and arts & crafts, free balloons and a big balloon release, blue illumination of buildings, hot air balloon, screening of the film Rainman, raffle, etc.
Fondation Autisme Luxembourg guarantees a day of fun but still needs volunteers for the following:
Friday April 1st
Decoration of the kiosque with balloons filled with helium
If person speaks only English = ok
13h-15h30: 6 volunteers
Saturday April 2nd
Assemble tents and set up tables and benches
If person speaks only English = ok
8h-10h30 and 11h-18h00: 20 volunteers
Stand to sell handmade products
One of the 2 volunteers needs to know at least a little French or German
9h30-12h: 2 volunteers
12h-14h30: 2 volunteers
14h30-17h: 2 volunteers
Games and crafts for children
One of the 2 volunteers needs to know at least a little French or German
11h-13h30: 2 volunteers
13h30-16h: 2 volunteers
Inflate/fill balloons with helium and distribute them
If person speaks only English = ok
11h-13h30: 4 volunteers
13h30-16h: 4 volunteers
Help with the hot-air balloon
One of the 2 volunteers needs to know at least a little French or German
11h-13h30: 2 volunteers
13h30-16h: 2 volunteers
16h-17h30: 2 volunteers
Selling raffle tickets around Place d’Armes
One of the 2 volunteers needs to know at least a little French or German.

Dismantle and uninstall tables and benches
If person speaks only English = ok
16h30-18h: 20 volunteers
