Vistra Joins the Street Team

On April 29th, Serve the City Luxembourg hosted it’s first Corporate Social Responsibility event with Vistra Luxembourg S.a.r.l. Seven volunteers from Vistra came together and went out on the streets of Luxembourg to serve the homeless and people in need.

A regular Street Team for Serve the City, but an all new experience for the volunteers! They met in the morning in Bonnevoie to prepare some food and drinks and get ready to meet their neighbors from the streets. With a bit of hesitation at first, the team quickly grew together and everybody was able to contribute something.

Motivation was clearly noticeable throughout the whole project, accompanied by laughter and even singing!

Conversations with over 35 homeless people were  in many languages and the team listened to the different stories they had to share.  One of the volunteers said that it was great to see that even a small act of kindness like giving coffee and a sandwich could bring the biggest smile on someone’s face, even if communication wasn’t always possible.
